Corralling the Door Dasher

Some dogs see an open door and all they can think about is escaping. The outside or whatever is on the other side of the door is just too enticing and they have to make a break for it. This can be dangerous behavior if they are dashing through a front door or out of a car. It can also cause people to get hurt if the dog is so wild in her attempt to get out that she is knocking over people and things. If you have a dasher it can be tiring and frustrating because you seem to always be chasing after your dog. Management techniques like putting her on a leash or closing her in a room when the doorbell rings work but take time. They also put the onus on the person for keeping the dog contained.

RolloverU's four week door dashing class helps teach the dog control so they no longer dash through doors. We show you techniques to handle different types of doorways. You will leave the class confident that you can get your dog calmly through any type of door.
