Cindy has over 30 years experience working with dogs. "Dogs deserve the best life possible and I believe I can help the bond between dog and human be strong and built on love and trust like any good relationship" is one of her core beliefs.
Towards the end of her High School studies in Florida, Cindy started working with dogs. She got her training knowledge from books and practiced on any dog she met. She was not able to have her own dogs at the time. She improvised and worked with the family cats instead. She was encouraged to use other skills when she joined the Army right out of high school.
She never lost her passion for animals and was finally able to have her own dogs at her first duty station in Arizona. She never strayed too far from dogs after that and continued to learn and work with her own and other people’s dogs until one day everything changed.
She was sitting in the dentist chair getting a root canal and realized that she was having the best day in a really long time. She had a good job and was making good money but was really just going through the motions at the job. Cindy decided she needed to make a big change in her life. She realized that day was so much better than others because she had spent most of the day spending time and working with her dogs. She decided to make a career change.
While Cindy had the knowledge and experience to train dogs she felt no one would listen to her unless she had some formal training. She set out to get the formal training she felt she needed. She graduated with honors from Animal Behavior College. She didn’t stop there and earned the Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) and the Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge and Skills Assessed (CPDT-KSA) certifications from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. She loves to learn and is also a Certified Hoopers World Instructor and an AKC Evaluator.
Cindy opened RolloverU in 2013. She conducted training classes in her backyard or worked with people and their dogs in their homes. In late 2015 she opened her own shop near the Manhattan, Kansas airport. The facility offers daycare, boarding, and training of all kinds. The mission is to help as many dogs as possible become the best dogs they can be with a loving family to go home to each night.
