1. Myth: I need to be tech savvy to attend online classes

Truth: RolloverU uses simple software to conduct their classes. The skills needed are skills you probably use many times throughout your day like sending and receiving emails and watching videos.

2. Myth: Online Training won't work because my dog needs the practice with the distractions.

Fact: Online training can help guide you on adding distractions slowly so you are setting your dog up for success. For most of us we start at home and as soon as our dog is listening at home we move our training sessions to the local park or dog park. While this works for some, it is very overwhelming and stressful for our pups and they have trouble listening and responding to us. We get frustrated because it seems like our best friend is ignoring us. Usually the sessions end and they may or may not continue because everyone is stressed and frustrated and training is no longer fun. We can help you set your dog up for success by adding distractions slowly and slowly working our way up to the extremely stimulating environment of a park.

3. Myth: I need help with a reactive dog. Online classes won't work because she only behaves badly when she sees another dog.

Fact: Online classes teach you what to do when your dog reacts without the distraction. You will learn and practice the techniques used to help your dog not react in a calm comfortable environment before adding distractions. This sets you and your dog up for success when you do start practicing in real-life situations. RolloverU includes coaching and practice with your dog’s triggers. These sessions can be online or in-person.

4. Myth: Online training is so impersonal, it won't address my needs

Truth: The 30-minute group meeting and the online coaching sessions ensure you get time with your instructor to get help for your specific training challenges.

5. Myth: My dog won't learn without working with the professional trainer.

Truth: A professional dog trainer is actually training you to train your dog. We are there to encourage and support you while you gain the confidence to use the tools and techniques we teach you. You got this! We have your back!

6. Myth: Online classes require special software to be installed.

Truth: RolloverU uses emails and phone calls to communicate with clients. Our videos are uploaded to a private section on YouTube and accessed through the Students Only area of our website. Our meetings are currently conducted using Zoom. 

7. Myth: If I'm sick for a week, I can't catch up.

Fact: With RolloverU’s online classes, you have access to the video lessons and the open group meetings for 6 months. You also have 8 weeks to use you’re one-on-one sessions with your trainer.
